Juli 2019 – St. Ignatius High School, Gumla, Jharkhand

Dear Sir,
Greetings of peace, joy and happiness to you and to your family.
I am writing to you after quite long time. This is to inform you that we and sponsored family members and the students are keeping well. Here there is already the rainy season has started and therefore the families are busy in preparing their fields for plantation. Some of them have no lands therefore they work in other’s field as a daily laborer. Few of them run a small shop for their survival.
I am happy to inform you that some of your adopted family’s children have improved their life. Aruna Lakra a student is a nurse now in one of the private hospital. Some of the students are working in Banks, some in government office and some in private sectors. Some of the students have joined to be priest and nuns.  Cathrina Lakra another student from a poor family is able to manage by herself for her studies. She is serving in one of the families and doing her studies. Thus it is quite encouraging to see them growing. This is all because of your generous help and support. Your help and support is certainly making difference in their life.

Januari 2018 – Dankbericht uit Bolivia

Dag beste Tinus,

Ja, gans Bolivia is geblokkeerd.

Mia Meermans.

Januari 2018 – Bedankje betreft Bakkerij Project in Kenia

Opereren kon men niet.

R$ 144,83 x 8 = R$ 1158,64 ongeveer € 331,04

Daarom vraag ik hulp of jullie willen helpen. Ze zijn met alle hulp blij.

Augustus 2017 – Bijeenkomst donateurs met zusters

Beste Noud,
Rond 15u30 waren we reeds thuis in Heverlee (dank zij onze flinke chauffeur , Zr.

RE: Food Appeal for Drought Stricken Families in Kenya.
Greetings from Kenya
This is in reference to the above mentioned subject. Kenya for the last one year has experience poor or and low rainfall, while some parts have not experienced rainfall for the last three years. The prolonged drought that has destroyed crops in the farms, rivers which are the major source of water have dried up, number of children in schools have gone down in most of the drought stricken area and community livestock killed due to lack of pasture and water. Currently nearly the whole country is facing starvation, with the worst hit parts being upper part of Kenya consisting of North Eastern, Isiolo, Marsabit, Turkana, samburu, west pokot and Baringo, South Nyanza and other region along Lake Victoria are also writhing under the impact of drought. In some part of the country the drought has resulted to inter ethnic clashes as being witness between the Pokot and the Marakwet, where the Pokot’s with their animals have raided Marakwet territory in search of water and pasture and this has resulted to the tribal clash that has claimed many lives. In Laikipia county there is clash between the local Maasai who are pastoralist against the ranch or conservation owners because the local have encroached the private ranch in such of the pasture for their animals. Also in other parts such as Ukamani region and south Nyanza the families are surviving on wild fruits.
In February the Government led by his Excellency President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta declared the famine being experienced in the country a national disaster and this translated to the religious and international organization stepping up their support programs. The United Nation through its Nairobi office has set up buy of starving cattle, slaughtering them and giving them as food among the pastoralist communities in Turkana, Marsabit, and Northern Kenya. Other organization such as Kenya Red Cross, Amref among others have also step up drought mitigation initiatives but all their effort are directed towards upper Kenya.
The Passionists as one of the religious congregation with major presence in south Nyanza has also committed its effort towards relieving the local communities from the drastic impact of drought by supplying the local communities with food supplies such as maize and beans which are among the staple food for the local communities. This initiative by the Passionists Missionaries have cushioned the families in south Nyanza especially along Lake Victoria against the impact of drought, even the dwindling number of children in the school in those area is steadily raising up. The major problem faced in this initiative is the study demand for food due to rising of number of family facing starvation due to prolonged drought and the sky rocketing prices of the food prices since the demand outweigh the supply. There is need to provide additional bags of maize and beans to the families living in south Nyanza especially in Suba area where is hard it.
The realization of more food will transform the lives of the communities living in the targeted area in that they will be able to protect themselves against malnutrition, have the energy to start land preparation in waiting for the rains, the number of children absenting themselves from school due to starvation will go down since they will be able to access quality food that provides them with energy and health they need to study. To support and extend this program to cover more affected families the Passionists Missionaries urgently need Euro 2,000.
Thanks in Advance. My office looks forward for positive collaborations to transform the lives of the communities living in the drought stricken region.

Grace and Peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I would like to introduce that Congregation of Sisters of St.Anns (SSA) was registered in 1986, under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 with Registration Number 165/86. It is a Non-Governmental Organization working in the State of Andhra Pradesh, INDIA, through Mission work for the Disadvantaged Christian Communities of Adivasis (Tribal) and Dalits (The Untouchables). Amidst the problems of the poor in Andhra Pradesh, ailing from suppression, economical exploitation, educational elimination and political persecution, the sisters of St. Anne were inspired to establish St. Ann’s Social Service Society to strive hard, for the upliftment of the downtrodden, suppressed and poor communities of rural areas, focusing on children and women in the year 1983.

St.Ann’s Manovikas Kendra – Residential Special School for the Intellectually Disabled Children. The purpose of opening this centre was to give a face lift to the neglected and less fortunate mentally retarded children. For their own parents and family, they may be burden and consider as punishment, but for our society , they are God’s gifts and they are the channel of blessings from God to our society. There are 135 children getting training in our Centre by 31 teaching and non- teaching staff members.
CP affected children need regular physical activity to improve muscle strength & general health. This is accomplished through regular physiotherapy & other activities which result in increasing flexibility of muscles. The proposed project is to provide therapy and trainings on a daily basis in a safe and secure environment. We also educate & enable the parents to follow through the sessions at home. This project will equip with the much-needed physiotherapy equipment & training aids for the program.

On behalf of these less privileged children I specially appeal to you to extend your generous support for Physiotherapy equipment. And the project will raise the quality of life of Children with Disabilities of the poor and marginalized community group. I am sincerely looking forward to your cooperation and generous support for the project for which act of kindness we all will remain ever grateful.

With deep regards and gratitude and in union of prayers.
Respectfully yours in Christ,

Januari 2017 – Dankbericht uit India

Greetings and good wishes from Arnold Van Act Educational and Rural Development Society (AERDS) for the year 2017. The Almighty God will abundantly bless you and your gestures in help in the poorest Dalit and Tribal communities in this part of the World. I understand that Mr. Arnold requested and asked you to support our activities. In fact, several educational development activities (for Orphans, Semi Orphans and educated and unemployed Youth from the downtrodden sections) are implemented in Rajastan state.
As there is need, we are now extending our activities to the most backward Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh. We secured 0.04 cents (250 Sq. Yds) of land to establish a resource center – that helps as a base center and education and training center for our local target groups. We will make use of the money which you assured for initial capital (buying sewing machines and other nominal equipment). For your ready reference and I herewith attaching profile (the plans of action which we intend to undertake through the present Santhinagar Project) for your information and understanding. Kindly give us your feedback and write to me if you have any other queries in this regard. I am also attaching a card entitled “Child and Education in 2017” – My reflection and ideas on “Education, Environment and Child”. I will update you as and when required and request you to explore possibilities of mobilizing resources for our activities. On hearing from you we will develop Area Specific Action Plans / Profiles and budgets.
I take this opportunity to inform you that one of my former colleague (Mr. Ravi Pradeep, 55, a Post Graduate in Social Work SFIRD, trained by Prof. Windey of VRO, heading an NGO working in Coastal Andhra Pradesh) is providing necessary guidance and giving directions.

I remain, looking forward for a favorable cooperation in serving the poorest Tribes and Dalits in this region.
